Sunday Flea Market Finds
Hello Dahlings! How has everyone been? Sorry for my absence the last couple of days, but it was Canada Day weekend and, the sun was shinning and the drinks were flowing. I hope all my Canadian readers and fellow Canadian bloggers enjoyed themselves this weekend!
This Sunday was pretty fantastic. Before we headed off to the flea market, the hubster and I plus two of my besties enjoyed a beautiful brunch in the morning sun. There is nothing I love more than brunch with friends on a patio in the summer. Then we all strolled to the flea market and we all got some great stuff.
This week my amazing finds were a little lion brooch, a Tucan brooch, a beaded coin purse, an art deco ring, an 80’s vintage clutch and a horse brooch/scarf holder.
I am in love with this little Tucan, he’s so colorful and sweet. I have images in my head of all the amazing summer dresses he is going to adorn. Although, I think have officially gone over the edge, I have way too many brooches. So many I am thinking I should start sharing, so check back on Monday for my first… GIVEAWAY!
This is another quickie DIY for y’all (although I am sure there must be a tutorial for this out there somewhere already). All you need are a few jump rings, some odds and ends jewelry like old pendants and earrings without partners, and a large safety pin. Take the jump rings and attach jewelry pieces in a creative way on the closed part of the safety pin. It’s a pretty quick way to take some old “trash” jewelry and make them a treasure again. Use it to spruce up a jean jacket or plain purse or whatever tickles your fancy.
I hope everyone is having a happy Friday!
