Take A Look At Yourself

Okay, so I know it’s not great blogger form to take your photos in the mirror BUT my hair looked so good in the morning with it’s natural curls that I thought I’d better quickly take some photos before the wind deflated them (see below).

I’m smiling, but my hair isn’t. Wind is so cruel.
And say hello to my blur of cat Felix.

Dress- Suzy Shier
Pleather Jacket & Scarf- via Fairweather
Accessories-Thrifted

I was pretty happy with this outfit, I feel like it looks really put together but office appropriate (even though most of the people in my office wear jeans and sweatshirts).
Anyway, I promise better photos tomorrow.
much love.
P.S. if you know where my title of my post is from you will win….MY Admiration and Respect.
Wasted Outfit

Have you ever gotten up in the morning, put on an outfit and felt great?! It’s happened to me a time or two, when an outfit comes together perfectly and it makes the start to your day awesome. That was totally my morning. It started off wonderful; I had coffee with the hubster, put together this outfit and headed out the door to work. Then my day went to shit. I know it’s bad fashion blogger behavior to stray away from the positive side of thing, but some days you just can’t help it. Today was awful, you know it’s a bad day when you are the last person in the office on a Friday. But what was truly awful about this day was that my awesome outfit that came together to make me feel great was wasted on such a lousy day.
Have you guys ever had a outfit that the day didn’t live up to?
Have a good weekend friends.
much love.
I’m Back, Kinda…
Hello My Long Lost Friends! The Hubster and I arrived at our new home a couple of weeks ago after a long and trecherous journey. It has been a really difficult transition and I have so many thoughts on this new place fashion related and not. But for now I thought I would just do a nice normal outfit post, well sorta. I may be short on photos and the quality may be really low. This is because I don’t have internet of my own and just found an unsecure wireless to use. And the internet is so slow up here because it is so isolated. Living in the North is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

This is a great and versatile orangy/red dress that I got at H&M. The belt is thrifted and the jean jacket is from high school. I have been wearing this jean jacket a lot this season, especially since we moved because it is chilly here.

This is a great little hat a made last week, I am loving the fall colors already. It is such a romantic season.

I got this beautiful envelope clutch at the thrift store, it was made in brazil and real leather. It was an awesome find for $3! The jewelry is all thrifted too.
I am so sorry for my long absence and I apologize again if it is a week before I can post again. I promise to sort this all out soon and I am so grateful for everyone sticking with me.
much love.
Great Dress, Bad Background
Hello Dahlings! First, I would like to thank everyone for all the love on my last DIY post. It really inspires me to keep DIY-ing my own jewelry and keep this little blog going. So, Thank You.
Second, I took the photos for this post thinking I was lookin’ all cool, but looking at them now I kinda look ridiculous standing in heels in my tiny excuse for a yard. But it’s about the outfit right? So let’s get to that.

Again, I would like to apologize for these photos. For the quality, for the blurriness and for the, well, everything. But I won’t apologize for how much I love this bag. I know it’s huge, but I love the old medicine bag feel it has. The dress and bag are H&M, the belt thrifted, the ring is Aldo and the shoes are Fioni.
I am also loving the long ties on this belt. I have been tying them around twice to get the feel of the Gucci gold belt that has been on the cover of all the summer fashion mags. I even considered spray painting it gold, but decided I needed a brown belt more.

I love this dress, I love the pattern and the colors. I really love the flowy sleeves. They are open and cool, which is nice since I don’t have toned arms. The only problem might be in the chest area, I am thinking there is too much cleavage so I might need to wear a camisole or something next time. But overall I am pretty into this outfit.
I look forward to making some more DIYs soon and I really look forward to checking out some of the blogs of my beautiful new followers tomorrow. I hope y’all are having a good weekend.
Much love.
Spring Breeze
This has been a miserable spring for us in Eastern Canada, cold and rainy everyday. But fortunately we had one sorta nice sunny-but-breezy day this week, so my Hubsterand I went out for a little spring walk. And while we were out my kind Hubster took some outfit photos for me. So this is my bumming-around-town-nothing-special outfit post.

The dress is from Old Navy, jean jacket from high school, thrift sweater, belt from Le Chateau and shoes from Payless. My rings were all thrifted.

This necklace was a gift from my Hubster, it has red sea glass inside.

I love how this dress catches the wind all the time, it makes beautiful shapes.

Well, that’s about it for me. I am hoping the weather gets nicer soon so that my outfits will improve. I tend to start to get drab when the weather’s been bad for a while.
And I have to apologize in advance if you don’t hear from me a lot this week. Our little city is being over taken by a congress conference and since I work in the downtown area I have to basically work night and day this week. Hopefully I will still be able to pop in a couple times this week. But if not I hope y’all have a good week.
Much Love.
