If You’ve Got The Time
I really need your help. When we were on our lovely vacation we did a ton of walking around, one day we started walking around at 9 am and barely sat for a minute until we had supper at 10 pm. Which was so much fun and I plan on spending a good deal of my summer strolling around. My only problem with this plan is that I don’t have any good walking shoes. I have lots of cute shoes that look great with my dresses but nothing that is practical at all. Actually the pair of shoes I thought were the most practical, I ended up wearing a huge hole in them after a day of walking.
So do you ladies have any shoe suggestions? I am looking for something that is comfortable enough to walk around in for a whole day but also looks cute with summer skirts and dresses.

Menswear Monday
No, Hubster has not gone crazy and decided to dress in shorts and slip ons in the snow. But he did get these sweet kicks in the mail this week and couldn’t wait to put them on and show them off.
As most of you can recognize these are Toms shoes, a company that gives a pair of shoes to an child in need every time you purchase a pair of shoes. I think this a noble cause and I’m happy he supported them. BUT I think these shoes are so ugly, and I feel like I am alone in this feeling. Hubster loves them. My friends love them. Celebs love them. But me, I can’t stand them. It’s the toe, it is so wonky. I know they are a traditional alpargata shoe, but still they could have changed the ugly double pin tucked toe.
What do you guys think? Toms are they yeah or nay?
Afternoon Tea Party
My oh my. First, I’d like to say how grateful I am for all the love I’ve received for my DIYs. You guys are the bomb. Second, I’d like to apologize to my 17 beautiful followers (in one week, wow!) for my absence this week. I am out of town, but I promise there will be a new DIY by week’s end. Until then I will leave you with a few shots of my beautiful new dress. I am in love with flowers this season and dressing like a lady who lunches or like I am going to afternoon tea.
This dress I got at Suzy Shier and I love the colors, the design and how big it poufs up when I twirl or the wind blows. I have never felt more ladylike. The shoes are from Payless (about a million years ago) and the jewelery is all vintage.
Okay, so I am no model. So let’s just look at that outfit again.
So that’s it for today. I will post another style post tomorrow, but I promise before the week is over there will be a new DIY for you to try.

My Fashion Favorites
Hello. To kick start my lil fashion blog I thought I would post some of my favorite pieces.
I love these Karl Lagerfield gun shoes, so dark and beautiful. My only problem with these shoes is I haven’t been able to figure out how to DIY it.
Oh, is there anything as beautiful and classic as Chanel? These vintage shades make my heart swoon.
Vivienne Westwood’s armour rings are tough but shiny and glamourous.
Alexander McQueen is one of my favorite designers. He incorporates my two favorite style element of dark (i.e. skulls) and glamour (i.e. deep reds, flowers).
Nautical wear is amazing. It seems to be always in fashion, it’s easy to figure out and replicate. This Dolce and Gabbana dress has stolen my heart.
I love headpieces. I love adorning my head with gems and flowers and feathers. I really think I should be living in England where they appreciate large fancy hats.
Lastly, Christian Louboutin shoes. He does both classic black and outrageous colors and gem or spikes. I find nothing more inspiring.
